NYCHA Administrative Hearings: Tenant Defense and Advocacy (6-26-17)

This introductory training will focus on defending and advocating for tenants in NYCHA administrative hearings. The trainers will examine termination hearings, discuss negotiating settlements, and describe updates on recent policy and case law developments. Participants will learn about the basic hearing procedures and the rules/regulations that govern them, how to approach settlement negotiations, and how to devise litigation strategies.

She spent a large portion of her time as a staff attorney at Legal Services NYC-Bronx and then transitioned to Brooklyn Legal Services in 2014. Maura lives in Brooklyn with her partner and two children.
