LegalServer, Pivot Tables, and Data Visualization

Legal Services NYC has an immense wealth of information about our services and clients in the LegalServer database, but all too often, advocates and support staff are unsure of how to make sense of the data. In this session, Jay Ackley will walk you through a variety of exercises involving LegalServer and Excel so you can learn tricks and techniques to analyze and present this valuable information using compelling visuals. This will be useful for those interested in performing ad hoc data-analysis to reveal patterns and other evidence for advocacy efforts, as well as those who wish to use our information to make an impactful case to policy-makers or funders.
